Over 80 Teslas are making a road trip to Custer, SD on May 21^st. The Custer Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the Sound of Silence Tesla Road Trip. This event is the seventh annual Tesla Road Trip Rally and still the only one of its kind in the United States. The Custer Area Chamber of Commerce has been working with local businesses and even caught the attention of Tesla Motors itself to help get charging stations in Custer for these cars.  The Custer Area Chamber of Commerce has invited Tesla owners to come explore the beautiful drives the Southern Black Hills has to offer.

The cars will be on display for viewing and questions on Friday evening, May 21^st from 5pm-7pm next to Mt. Rushmore Brewing Company.  The Custer Area Chamber of Commerce as well as local businesses will be hosting a social mixer at Mt. Rushmore Brewing Company at the same time to welcome the Teslas and anyone who wants to come out. 

Custer previously had 22 charging stations throughout town including at the Chamber of Commerce.  With the addition of 8 Super Chargers located behind Lynn’s Dakotamart, Custer now has 30 charging stations total-all paid for by Tesla.
