A Great Time to be in Custer Written by Dolsee Davenport March 5, 2018 This past week, Custer was THE place to be! Our first ever Custer Restaurant Week started on Wednesday, February 28th and concluded on Saturday, March 3. During those days, the downtown streets were lined with cars for several blocks. You would have thought it was the first week of June instead of the first week of March. And Facebook was blowing up with pictures of delicious food and friends gathered around local restaurant tables. Several venues also had entertainment options ranging from live music to Bingo to a Sip-N-Paint class. There was something for everyone. We hope you had an opportunity to visit an old favorite and try something new! The week ended with the Annual Custer Trade Show at the Custer High School on Saturday, March 3. There were over 50 local businesses and organizations ranging from financial services and building materials to jewelry and artwork. The Crazy Horse Squadron Civil Air Patrol keeps track of the number of attendees to the Trade Show, and this year they counted 450 people which is higher than any prevoius year. We want to thank each of you who helped to make that event successful again this year! With our first Restaurant Week a success, we are looking forward to our Second Annual Custer Restaurant Week in 2019. We strive to improve the experience each year, which is why we want to hear from you.
