Fall in the Black Hills is one of the best times of year!  Not only is the scenery even more beautiful, but the lines are shorter and it's easier to get around.  Whether you're a local or a visitor to Custer, here is a bucket list challenge to ensure that you're making the most out of this great time of year.

View the Fall colors from above with Black Hills Aerial Adventures and/or Black Hills Balloons.

Listen to elk bugle in Wind Cave National Park.

Take a scenic drive- Needles Highway, Iron Mountain Road, Spearfish Canyon.

Adventure into the Fall colors on a UTV/ATV.  If you don't have your own off-road vehicle check with Adventure Rentals or Buffalo Ridge Adventures.

Take a bike ride on the Mickelson Trail.  If you don't have a bike, or didn't bring yours with you, consider renting one from Adventure Rentals or Buffalo Ridge Adventures.

Rock Climb/Learn to Rock Climb from Sylvan Rocks Climbing School & Guide Service.

Tour Jewel Cave, Wind Cave, or Rushmore Cave.

Enjoy beautiful views of Fall foliage from the 1880 Train.

Relish the cooler weather on a scenic hike.

Explore the Black Hills on horseback with Hollingsworth Horses.
