Custer Restaurant Week 2020 - Entertainment

Custer Restaurant Week (February 26 – 29) is the perfect time to get out and try some of the unique cuisine that Custer has to offer.  There are 12 great restaurants participating this year: Buglin’ BullBlack Hills Burger & Bun Co., The Custer Beacon, Pizza MillPizza WorksLaughing Water Restaurant at Crazy Horse MemorialSkogen Kitchen, Dairy Queen, Miner’s Cup, Heart of the Hills Catering Company, Our Place, and The Custer Wolf. These restaurants will be featuring special menus that will be available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. *Not all locations offer every meal, be sure to check menus, times, and locations*

Along with the fantastic food, a variety of entertainment options will be available during Custer Restaurant Week as well!  Whether you go out before or after you eat, there are plenty of exciting options to keep you busy!

The Custer VFW Post #3442 will be holding a Trivia Night on Wednesday, February 26 from 6 - 8:00 p.m.  Grab your friends and head on down to show off your knowledge.

The Custer YMCA is hosting a Dr. Seuss Skate Night on Friday, February 28 from 5 - 8:30 p.m. Drop your kids off for a night of fun in a safe, semi-structured environment. Come just as you are, or dress to impress for the Dr. Seuss theme! Costume contest at 7 p.m. Check out our website or Facebook page for more information!

On Friday, February 28, Dakota Country Band will be performing live at 7 p.m. at The Custer Beacon. The band’s music is described as “highly danceable country and classic rock.”

The Custer VFW Post #3442 will also have live music on Friday night. Midnight Sun, a local band specializing in old and new country and 50’s and 60’s rock-n-roll, will be performing from 7 – 11 p.m. Grab your friends and come enjoy the music. The dance floor will be open!

There will be a Sip-N-Paint class held in the basement of the Custer VFW Post #3442 at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 29.  This class is open to all attendees for a fee of $38. All materials will be provided for a beautiful landscape picture that participants will take home with them. Limited availablity and registration is required.

Bring the kids out to Custer State Park on Saturday, February 29 at 7 p.m. for a Glo in the Dark Scavenger Hunt! Meet at the Gordon Stockade for a good old-fashioned scavenger hunt, with a twist…it will be in the dark. Can you find the items in the dark?

On Saturday evening from 6 - 8 p.m., the Black Hills Playhouse will be presenting “Bite Nite: An evening of murder mystery, vampires, and delicious bites” at The Custer Beacon. Tickets are required. For more information visit: www.blackhillsplayhouse.com

Also Saturday night, the Custer VFW Post #3442 will have DJ Danny and Karaoke from 6 - 10 p.m. Show off your dance and vocal skills to the community.

And don’t forget about the Custer Trade Show, held at the Custer Elementary School from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 29. This event will feature a variety of area businesses and vendors. From home repair to banking to personal care items, there is sure to be something for everyone.  Girl Scouts will be selling their delicious cookies there as well, in case you haven’t gotten your supply yet. Concessions will be available.  Free-will donations will be accepted at the door by the Crazy Horse Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol.
