Kick off the Holiday Season November 29, 2021
The 32nd Annual Custer Christmas Parade is scheduled for Saturday, December 4th at 5:30 pm. Our annual parade of lights signals the kick-off of the Holiday season in the Southern Hills. The parade will begin at 8th and Mt. Rushmore Road and end at Way Park on 4th and Mt. Rushmore Road. After the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus will appear at Way Park for the Memorial Tree Lighting Ceremony. Make plans to check out the local businesses that are staying open during the parade and offering specials.
Once again, this year the Custer Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with the Hill City Chamber of Commerce for Community Christmas Cash giveaways! $900 will be given away throughout the next three weeks. All you have to do is sign up weekly at participating Custer and Hill City businesses. Those businesses participating in the program will have a Community Christmas Cash Participant poster in their window. The Chambers will collect the slips weekly and do Facebook Live drawings to select the winners on December 3rd, December 10th, and December 17th. The winners are then able to spend their Community Christmas Cash at many Custer and Hill City businesses.
The Custer Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center has lots of fun merchandise for sale for everyone on your Christmas list. Stop in sometime and browse the many items including Smokey Bear memorabilia and Mickelosn Trail shirts. We also have several Black Hills items like stickers, shirts, puzzles, and books. And for the holiday season, we have a great selection of Christmas ornaments that would look perfect on your tree or make an excellent gift! | HOW TIMES SQUARE BECAME THE TIME KEEPER OF U.S. NEW YEARS Written by From The AMAC Magazine, Dec 2024 December 23, 2024 Finding Zippy: A Tale of an Elf Gone Astray Written by Adrianna Burgess December 10, 2024 Plan for the 101st Annual Gold Discovery Days Celebration July 16, 2024 National Trails Day Written by Darian Block May 31, 2024 BRIDGES OF CUSTER COUNTY March 27, 2024 |
