Custer State Park Star Party

Bison Center on Wildlife Loop Road

The Star Party is Back!

Good news, stargazers! Although the weather postponed our original Star Party, we’re excited to share that it’s officially back on the calendar. Thank you for your patience as we worked to reschedule - your chance to explore the night sky is here again!

We’ll be teaming up once more with the Black Hills Astronomical Society to bring you an unforgettable evening under some of the darkest skies in the Black Hills.

What to expect:

• Multiple telescopes to explore the universe

• Expert guidance from astronomers and park naturalists

• Constellations, planets, and deep sky wonders

Bring a blanket, your curiosity, and get ready to be amazed. We’ll see you under the stars—round two!

There is no fee to participate for this event. However, a park entrance license is required to enter the park and may be purchased at the park office from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. during the week, or at the Bison Center, which is open 9:00 a.m. To 6:00 p.m.

For more information, please call 605.394.2693 or email us at
