Story Time at the Museum!
Calling all history lovers, homeschoolers, and little explorers—join us for a magical morning at the 1881 Courthouse Museum!
Step back in time as we share stories from Indian Tales for Little Folks, a delightful children’s book published in 1914 by artist, sculptor, and writer El Comancho. These charming Native American folk tales will spark young imaginations and bring history to life!
While you’re here, don’t miss our special exhibit featuring 17 Native American-themed paintings and sketches, including an original piece by El Comancho himself. This unique display will be in the courtroom until the end of June.
Stories, art, and history—perfect for young minds to explore!

Please note: The museum will be open for this event only and will officially open for the season on May 12.
