It's finally here! The 102nd Annual Gold Discovery Days Celebration starts THIS WEEKEND! The entire community comes together to ensure this event is the best and biggest of the year. The carnival is already in town, setting up for everyone starting Thursday night.
The lines for the Car Show on Saturday have been marked, and the wheelbarrows are ready for the Gold Panners' Race. The City crew has prepared the volleyball courts, and the parade lineup is in progress, with royalty practicing their waves. Prizes for the gold nugget hunt are also ready to go. Most importantly, signs have been placed throughout town to remind everyone to be ready on FRIDAY, SATURDAY, and SUNDAY! (and technically Thursday for the Carnival!)
