Valentine's Day at Custer State Park
Custer State Park
Celebrate Valentine’s Day the CSP way—outside, together, and free to roam.
Join us for a guided Valentine’s Day hike at 10 a.m. along Lover’s Leap, a scenic 4-mile, moderate hike led by a Custer State Park Naturalist. It’s the perfect way to spend the morning with your sweetheart, best friend, or favorite adventure partner.
After your hike—or anytime during the day—stop by the Main Visitor Center, where supplies will be available all day to create your very own Custer State Park Valentine. Make one for someone you love… or for yourself (we fully support that). Fresh air, scenic views, and a little handmade love—sounds like a perfect Valentine’s Day to us.
Be sure to wear sturdy shoes, bring water, and prepare for changing weather. Don’t forget your camera—this view is worth the climb!
There is no fee to participate, but a park entrance license is required. Licenses may be purchased at the Park Office (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) or at the Visitor Center, open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
