Custer State Park Halloween Night Hike

When: Friday, October 16th, 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 17th, 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Where: Custer State Park Visitor Center (Hwy 16A and Wildlife Loop Road) Who: All ages welcome! What to bring: Comfortable shoes, water, and a sense of adventure!
Join us for Tatanka Story, a guided Halloween adventure along the Creekside Trail and through the Game Lodge Campground. The park team’s friend Tatanka has gone missing—and we need your help finding him!
Along the way, you’ll complete a series of activities and gather clues to guide your search. You’ll also discover how technology can be a helpful tool while still making time to unplug and enjoy the outdoors. Costumes and candy buckets are encouraged!
Explore decorated campsites, visit mystery stations and bring your own candy bag. Each 60-minute hike is led by a guide, with departures every 15 minutes:
Friday: 5:30 p.m.–8:00 p.m. Saturday: 2:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.
Registration is required. Space is limited, so participants are encouraged to register early.
There is no fee to participate. However, a park entrance license is required and may be purchased at any park entrance gate or at the Visitor Center from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
