Discover the art of open-fire cooking with our Dutch Oven Cooking Sampler at the Historic Gordon Stockade. Nestled near the shores of Stockade Lake, this iconic location provides the perfect backdrop to learn traditional outdoor culinary techniques.
Guided by our park naturalist, you will get hands-on experience preparing three hearty, delicious dishes. Whether you are a seasoned camp chef or a curious beginner, this session will ignite your passion for cooking in the great outdoors. You’ll leave with new skills, full plates, and the recipes to recreate these campfire favorites at home.
There is no fee to attend the event; however, a park entrance license is required. Licenses may be purchased at any of the entrance stations or the Visitor Center, which is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
