Thursday Creative Space July 23, 2026 | 4:00 p.m. Traditional Necklace Making Presented by Starr Chief Eagle Custer State Park Visitor Center Join us for Thursday Creative Space as Starr Chief Eagle guides participants through the traditional Lakota art of beaded necklace making. Starr Chief Eagle, an artist and cultural ambassador, will share her knowledge and passion while offering insight into the cultural significance and techniques involved in creating traditional necklaces. Participants will have the opportunity to learn, create, and connect with others while honoring the rich traditions of Lakota artistry. The program begins at 4:00 p.m. at the Custer State Park Visitor Center and will remain open until all supplies have been used. This program is open to the public and suitable for all ages. There is no fee to participate. However, a park entrance license is required to enter Custer State Park. Licenses may be purchased at the park office from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays or at the Visitor Center, which is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. For more information, please call 605-394-2693 or email custerstatepark@state.sd.us.
